The multi-purpose tractor trailers and timber trailer combinations, awarded in many different tests, are suited to many needs, for the forest harvesting professional and the forest owner, as well as the farm owner. Farmi Forest’s timber trailers are durable, agile and stable even on difficult terrain.
FARMI timber trailers are known for their outstanding usability, functionality and durability. The trailers are dimensioned so that their own weight is proportional to the size of the load space. Thus, it is always smooth, even when loaded.
Our timber trailers have been designed with the aim to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible, so that the trailer behaves in a balanced manner also when empty. The low centre of gravity is achieved with proper contouring and a dimensioned load space, as well as by bringing the crane’s anchor point as low as possible and close to the trailer frame. This is especially important when the timber trailer is equipped with a crane. Timber trailers without a crane also behave in a balanced manner when the crane is mounted directly on the trailer with a chassis adapter.
In a single beam timber trailer, the position of the bogie and removable banks can be varied depending on the length of the timber being transported and the required shaft weight. FARMI trailers have invested in quality manufacturing. The parts we use are dimensionally accurate and carefully manufactured. The user will notice it behaves with firmness and torsional rigidity when crossing obstacles. This torsional rigidity is of the same order as a 2-beam frame structure.
All of our trailers are equipped with a 2-cylinder tiller which has plenty of steering power. The tiller steering is designed for safe and controlled operation. It behaves smoothly and makes it easier to work on a slope if the trailer has to be turned while empty.
There are plenty of accessories for our timber trailers. All trailers, with the exception of our smallest FT9, can be equipped with a roller drive, hub drive or axle drive. Their pump units also ensure sufficient output and oil flow for both trailer drive and crane operation. The oils of the tractor and the timber combination do not mix, nor do any impurities circulate easily.
